  • Was it like this everyday or only on weekends or special days?

  • Some of this was from a loosely organized street fair - and some from free concerts - but there were so many kids around that it was full time 24-7 chaos...

  • The Dead were a real trip. You really had to get into their style. It was all good and too cool.

  • By this time the Haight was fading down, and the counterculture meanderd down to L.A. Taos and points wherever they could do their peace and love.

  • @RandolphAgarn1 thats awesome

  • @workingclasssociety It was like this many days of the week in '67 and '68. Not always a live concert, but, many people out getting high and enjoying the scene. And the concerts, when they had them, were always free.

  • @DAS603 Because they realized Vietnam was a sham on the American people.

  • Why weren't these draft dodging, pot smoking, booze drinking hippies serving in Vietnam!

  • San Francisco 1968....even hairier than San Francisco 1967.

  • I was there, it was groovy and absolutely bitching
