If this commercial is supposed to increase tourism in Connecticut, it's not delivering that message. It seems more like a commercial for either the Hartford Symphony, or maybe a promo reel for the marketing staff of the Connecticut Tourism Bureau.

Why on earth would any tourism video NOT identify tourist sites with a caption over the scenes? It's not difficult to drop "Mystic Seaport" as a title, or "Connecticut Valley Railroad" along the bottom of the picture of the locomotive.

I live in CT - here's what you saw:

Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Mystic Seaport, Essex Railroad, Mystic Aquarium, Goodspeed Opera House, Gillette Castle, Hartford Skyline, Mohegan Sun, and MGM Grand.

Honestly, when I saw these commercial on tv I just wanted to go wherever the video suggested. I didn't care what specific sites it was advertising.

For Connecticut residents who have nothing better to do than trash their state - please do us a favor and move elsewhere. We don't need your negativity. Trust me, we have it very good here. There are few other states in this country that have our beauty, or quality education and our culture. If you don't believe me, try moving to someplace like Nebraska or North Dakota or Mississippi. You'll have a new appreciation for what you have in Connecticut.
