  • He said it was just about time for him to go...

He actually was working at BYU when he moved to work at the Tabernacle. Fellow professor Andrew Unsworth's father Arthur Unsworth when "Andy" was 7

  • He retired

  • Does anyone know why John isn't at the tabernacle anymore??

  • If you were there, I'm curious---why did he leave? He still played well! And Alexander Schreiner stayed until he was about 80. John was always so well prepared on the show. It's nice to see him sit quietly at the organ. Clay Christiansen looks like he's having convulsions when he's at the console!

  • I'm fan to organist John Longhurst.

I have always liked how he plays pipe organ.

  • I heard

  • I was there when he played this... It was his last broadcast and after the program they did a little thing for him... I was kinda sad to see him go... He cried =(

  • I really like this piece of music. I like the diapasons/principals on the great and Reeds on the swell.

  • I know that "grafixmaster" didn't put this in your "About the Video". This was former Tabernacle Organist John Longhurst's final broadcast on Music And The Spoken Word.
