  • What a great tune .All other versions i,ve heard to date seem insipid. .Danny Whitten had it ,sadly for so short a time .

  • I am amazed to see only 93,673 views...such a soulful song deserves more than this... but then again we cannot expect more because we are living in a era where most of the things including music have gone to the dogs and taste of music of younger generation is Awfull!!!!

  • I get tired of Rod stewart and all the others who don't give claim to Danny. If he lived on I think he would be so big along with the Horse.

  • wow never realised that's who wrote the song...till I heard Neil say in video that' he' never wanted to sing it and Neil thought it was a beautiful song..Thanks Danny..:)

  • One of the most beautiful tunes ever written, on one of the most under-appreciated LP's EVER to come out of Warner/Reprise... Beggar's Day, Gone Dead Train and more. Besides Cooder also featured a young guitarist that Danny introduced to Neil named Nils Lofgren...

  • This song can drive any living soul to its knees...absolutely gut wrenching....However, Crazy Horse had a warhorse legacy that needs to be put forward. Its missing

  • .... $50 and a plane ticket back to L.A. .... Later that night, Neil got a call from the coroner that Danny was gone. It haunted Neil for years, resulting in a dark period, albeit creative one .... 'Tonight's The Night', 'On The Beach', and 'Time Fades Away' .... The 'Ditch Trilogy' .....

  • No blame whatsoever on Neil's part. He did all he could for Danny right up until that final night. He tried one on one to try to get Danny together enough to go on the Tour they were preparing for ( Time Fades Away ) Danny was too far gone.........

  • @leeharveyosmosis

    OK, Thanks !
