  • Bobby Clarke was the dirtiest player EVER to play the game. OK maybe second to Ulf Samuelsen

  • I am yet to see one iota of proof of Clarke's "courage". Dude was a pussy then and a bitter asshole now.

On the other hand, Turk pissed it all away, got straight and has turned his life around and when I met him back in the early 90's he was a pretty good guy.

  • 1975 cup buffalo vrs philly...perreault should have spanked clark right after the opening face off game #1...it would have been a different series...it wouldnt have been pretty, but they were team mates internationally, virtually the same team, clark took advantage of the term sportsmanship...now thats an asshole for ya...

  • @sandnich You never watched much hockey nitwit Gordie Howe had the meanest elbows ever! Stan Makita's stick was a sword! Speaking of swords how about asshole Thomas Sandstrom loved watching Dave Brown knock his teeth out after he broke Mark Howe's wrist.Kasparitis,Ferguson, there were plenty worst than Clarke goofball.

  • Typical Clarke. This is what happens to you when you drink heavy metals all day - you end up like Clarke. Mad as a hatter.

  • was clarke dirty? yes, very dirty but he is also one of the hardest working players and best captains to ever play, u hate to play against but would love him on your team, did everything right from a work aspect, never took a play off, would do anything for a teammate, sometimes dirty ... but a phenominal player that will always be remembered here in philly and is still the face of the philadelphia flyers franchise

  • @sandnich yeah but at least he could play hockey unlike guys like cooke and avery who serve no purpose other than starting shit and hav made a career out of being cheap shotting assholes

  • @rowerrunner First, you have no eduction to put together a sensible argument. NHL Hall of Famer Phil Esposito said himself, without talent, you do not win(the cup), period. Second, the Flyers beat the HELL out of the Soviets during the cold war when NO ONE else could / did, and who was on their heels, Bobby Clarke, do me a favor, know what the F*&^ you are talkin about before you post again you dumb m*therF$#cker.

  • @brinsleysgirl1980 2 cups, how many did your team have at that time? Clarke may have had some muscle to back him up, he also left a half dozen teeth on the ice..........you got nothing.

  • @WatchVenusSpa I don't know if Clarke had courage persay. And I'll agree, he's quite opinionated now a days. He was tough, and there's proof of that. But if nothing else, give him credit for his work ethic.

  • I watched Clarke play a ton of games live and he did indeed get away w/ things that other players would not. Some of his 'stick work' to the ribs was classic and the ref would just swallow the whistle.

  • @WatchVenusSpa dude get the fuck outta here. go fight clarke in the 70s and try and fuckin eat food through something besides a straw.
