I don't like being sad, that's why I make cheerful videos ... but one shouldn't be ashamed of sadness, is a normal human emotion ... grieving is part of life. Hedy was very good at showing this human side in film.

i don't like being sad myself, but Hedy's being sad is breathtaking as if her soul was in some other universe but her body was imprisoned here.

I'd say that the sadness is not what beautifies a woman. But sometimes, very rarely, there are women who are beautifully sad. In the cinema, apart from Hedy, I can only name Greta Garbo, the tragic beauty, and it only made her beauty more grand. Hedy is terribly beautiful, sad and dreamy. It seems she wants to be in other dimensions and all the good things in life are not enough for her!

ditto Dina about the "she wants to be in other dimensions". That's exactly how I feel about Hedy too. She was always sadly looking at another realm of the universe, as if she wanted to jump to some blackholes to vanish to the 11th dimensional world.
