No offense to anyone here...But I am the owner of a small trucking company just over 2 yrs old now.......I find it very difficult to operate due to most shippers using a freight broker instead of direct contact with the carrier,Brokers tend to be rude, unprofessional at times and take too much off the top end...Ive compared rates and they take up to 405 off the top and leave the carrier with little to no profit! It angers me that no one puts standards on what brokers can keep on gross revenue!!

Is this good for Sprinter vans?

@StayingBack71 You might want to be your own broker.

Can a new owner operator run full time off a load board, or do they need to have a more dependable source of income?
-
@StayingBack71 maybe Broker Business is where its at, instead of actual trucking company.

I looking for shippers...

The broker will likely want to talk about the pricing when the trucker calls. The pricing can be considered sensitive information for multiple reasons.

You went through all that and didn't have anything on the price it was paying why not?
Is this useful for freight brokers too?

Yes. If you are a freight broker you can use this site in two ways. 1. You can search for drivers and contact them directly or 2. You can post your shipment and have drivers bid on that load.

What if you are a bullhauler or have just a power unit?

If you are a bullhauler we recommend that you post your available truck and when a shipper or someone needs your services in and area you serve they will contact you.
