Played by codeman2008 on the 80 rank Goulding & Wood pipe organ at St. Luke's UMC in Indianapolis. This movie does not represent the music ministries of the church and is only my personal video. Enjoy! All from memory.

  • Yes, this is a lovely instrument. Good Job on this piece BTW...and as music goes, it's OK that it is typically american seeing that an American is playing a very American Classic style organ.....Oh how I miss tuning thru all those reed chorus ranks! In addition, Only the 32' stops (32' Contre Violone, 32' Contre Bourdon, and 32' Contre Bombarde ) are digital Extentions of the existing pipework, by Walker Technical Co. Make no mistake there are many many pipes going on here!

  • @chuckywilly so what's your full name? haha chuckwilly doesn't explain well. But I love this organ.

  • WOW thts reli good !

i love from 3:56 hearing the 32' rumberling down to the last chord wel done ;-)

  • @MrAlex413x yes! It's very powerful!

  • This is my favorite organ in Indianapolis. I live in Shelbyville just south of Indy. I take lessons in Greenwood.

  • As A Regional Councillor and Son to former National Councillor and National Council President, thanks for this post.

RUSHED? lol. Never, that is how Bach intended it. This is about the same pace that I play it at, well done with those 32' stops. Never heard it played like that before.

Two other organists other than myself that played it at the same pace as you is Virgil Fox and Diane Bish, all of which are my mentors, even though Virgil is passed on.

I wish you many yrs at the console.

I think just the staccato style take some great new from this organ composition. This performace was not ready, but players analyze was great. Good luck!

  • @christianvs1 Well stated; I agree completely.

  • This piece was transcribed by the likes of Dupre, Guilmant, etc. to arouse interest in the works of Bach. Regrettably, this rendition certainly does not achieve that objective.

  • STILL LOVE the sound of a WOODEN 16' Posaune! in the PEDAL!

  • Beautiful! Most organists play this piece too fast for my tastes. Excellent rendition and AMAZING organ!! Great pedal work. You didn't drag the pedal part but were right with the beat.

  • I want this arrangement of the piece. It looks nice.

  • GO ON VIRGIL! I am SO Proud of you. You are sounding so great.
