Listening to the sorrowful sound of Taps while at a funeral for one of America's fallen is truly necessary to understand the terrible cost of these wars. Every American should find a moment of time to do so to realize what has been forever lost. To look into the sullen eyes of grieving family members should be a requirement for those who decided to send America's children to fight the wars of old men. I hope this ballad does not in any way glorify war or dignify those temporarily elected or appointed government officials who senselessly committed this nation into two unnecessary endless wars. This ballad is for those who died and those who stand with the families who continue to suffer the pain of their loss. NO WAR.

  • It is a common gesture among bikers, especially veterans, to stop at cemeteries to make sure military graves are clean and in good condition. Some take it a step farther, stopping at cemeteries for a moment of silence in honor of all who did not make it home.

The Patriot Guard Riders are without exclusions, ideology, or motive other than to honor those who died in the service of this country--military or civilian service. They stand as a living wall against those who would dishonor our heroes.

  • @Johngalt43 right on brother

  • Man I wish I could be a part of PGR, you guys are absolutely amazing

  • @Ulquiorrapwns You can join online. A motorcycle is not required to support these missions. Get in touch with your State Captain for more info.

  • I have been a PGR for a year now. 50+ missions done and it is one of the greatest things i have done with my life. The feeling you get inside is amazing. I have met more heroes and families of fallen heroes than i ever thought i would and they all have a special spot in my heart. • I am so glad I can help the families, I stand proud to be a Patriot Guard Rider in Minnesota. God Bless the USA, and those that have given their lives to protect it.

  • I first joined in March of 2005, and I think the members number was around 500 Plus.

We now have over 265,000 patriotic Americans! I'm 61 now, and it gets harder and harder to do the funerals, especially during "Taps", but this old Army RVN Vet will continue to stand for these brave men and women and escort these folks until I no longer breathe. God Bless Our Troops!

  • The PGR were there for our family on one of the worst days our lives and I won't ever forget it. Thank you! <3
