@kxmylo2652215 I don't know if you've found the book now since you wrote this a year ago. But I just wanted to tell you that the book does exist online. Me and my friend bought it like two years ago and I'm quite sure it hasn't vanished from the internet in just one year (or two now). If you can't find it on any American sites then look at British or Australian perhaps? I'm sure you can find it there or somewhere else. You just have to look harder ;3

There are actually two books, and another film that are very important influences on the film. The other film is les enfants terribles (I think I spelled that right) and the book of the same title. You can also get a book which the film is based on called 'The dreamers' (perhaps it was renamed after the making of the film or it's different from 'the holy innocents'). The book is well worth the read if nothing else but for the relationship between Theo and Matthew and the different ending.
