I don't understand the purpose of staying in a kneeling position. If anything I see this as taking the lower body out of the equation, thus reducing the explosive power and core stabilization. I see this as simply modification for modification's sake, no functional benefit. And a 16kg? you're a much larger man than me and I do most techniques for 20+ reps with a 24kg, sometimes I'll double grip the 24 with a 16 for lower rep power work.

It is a static clean and snatch from the bottom of a lunge. I tried it. I see no advantage from standing. Plus it is easyer on your knees. No offence but I can static clean a bulldog (88lb)and love them for the traps!
I would do 3-5 reps each. This is more for explosive power then it is conditioning
The kettlebell is 16kg (32lbs)
