  • Great song. I've seen excerpts from this performance before but never the whole clip. It's not from TOTP or RSG. Could it be TYLS (which ended just as this came out), or A Whole Scene Going?

  • @aoscot It's from a show called "Whole Scene Going", which ran for some months in 1966.

  • I love Ray Davies. Only three song writers can compare... Isaac Brock, Billy Corgan and Buddy Holly. I say Buddy Holly, cause he was just cut off WAY too soon. But Ray Davies IS the best song writer of all time.

  • I LOVE THE WAY DAVE WAS Always smiling....happy to be onstage....i LOVE DAVE DAVIES.....I WISH I COULD GO BACK IN TIME FOR AWHILE....SO HE COULD ROCK MY WORLD...LOL

  • these dudes look like folks who would complain about Ducks on the wall !!! who knows??? Davies was good..no question.....

  • any chaance of getting rid of the poxy adds they ruin all these great clips

  • @cindynunyun well,it's an opinion.i think this song and a bunch of Kink's tunes do it for me.i think Lennon/McCartney tunes rank up there and i also think Leonard Cohen was kool.

  • Thanks for the movie clip !! We did a nice cover of that song involving people living in different lands in Europe and recording themselves from there ! Check it on our youtube channel !!!

  • Where was Pete Quaife?

  • Brilliant clip! John Dalton (ex-Mark Four, a pre-Creation band)temporarily joined the band shortly after this clip to help them promote the track on "Ready Steady Go" and "Top Of The Pops" sadly no footage from either exists, though there is a groovy pic of Dalton playing an Epiphone bass in an almost upright position on the former.

  • Was/is good.

  • i love this song so much
