COLWOOD - The parents of a missing Langford teen have received the news they feared and dreaded. The victim of an horrific murder under a bridge on the Galloping Goose Trail was their daughter, 18-year-old Kimberly Proctor.
The badly burned body was found Friday night. Kimberly had been missing since Thursday.

RCMP say the search for her killer is their highest priority and dozens of investigators are working around the clock, investigating every tip, no matter how small it may seem to be.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in tracking Kimberly's last movements.

Investigators say she was last seen at the Langford bus exchange on the morning of Thursday March 18th. Police say she got off the 57 Millstream bus around 10:20am, but her movements after that are unknown.

RCMP will not confirm, but sources tell /A\ News that police seized Kimberly's computer from her bedroom and the last text message on her cell phone was around 10 o'clock Thursday morning. Police say they have interviewed many people and are following up on many tips including a Facebook post which suggests a friend saw her at Veteran's Memorial Park at 1pm Thursday. Other Facebook posts indicate she recently broke up with a boyfriend.

RCMP say the use of Facebook has been a blessing and a curse for investigators, because of the information that is shared and the immediacy of the medium.

Tonight police are warning everyone, especially girls and women, to be aware of their surroundings while the killer is still on the loose.

Proctor was last seen wearing a black hoodie with the number 13 on the front. Police ask anyone who may have seen Kimberly between Thursday and Friday to contact Westshore RCMP or Crimestoppers.
