The Sakha people in the Sakha Republic of the Russian Far East hold this amazing traditional festival during 'white nights' -- greeting the moon, with some liquor, in the middle of the night. I've attended twice. In 2005, I was apparently one of two non-Sakha there. Then in June 2008, I recorded this Jews harp concert, some swimming and some traditional dance. Well worth going out of your way to attend. More: www.reidontravel.com
