to be honest, the bottom line is that until you go through a system like this and experience what it does for you, you can never truly know the direction and measure of its efficacy. it is both incredibly rude and presumptuous to demean and comment disparagingly on an experience that you know nothing about other than a video you see on youtube.

to the comments below. VMI, citadel, ta&m, & norwich understands the fundamentals of making men. something that maritime college USED to understand. Military colleges are a dieing breed. Thank God for VMI and Citadel. They are the last of the old corps. Everything they do has a purpose even if it seems incomprehensible to some. And dont dare ridicule to those cadre who gave up their time to make men! The cadre who fell is a brother!

for all the VMI cadets dogging on the Citadel, VMI is a great school and i respect the cadets there, but you really have no idea what goes on in this institution, things you couldn't imagine, this place can be a dark place for some people.

Yeah the hardest freshmen year is definitely VMI and Citadel, where VMI has it harder and Citadel has it better.

Let me explain the statement above in case some people took it the wrong way

Citadel enjoys a lot of things ( privilege, better stuff... etc ) that VMI doesn't have...and VMI sometimes wish we something that Citadel has.

I.E. I want to wear civi on the weekends

I want a bigger band room

I want a bigger campus

Life sucks at Citadel, but it sucks more at VMI.

First, of all, this is nothing but a short video...the 4th Class system lasts for 9 months. I can guarantee you that for all of you slackbags trying to compare programs based on this snippett, have no idea what it entails.
