I really like every thing that Townes does. Even though that one guitar string was not tuned and I was dealing with stage fright I had a good time doing it. First time ever on the video and nearly the first time on stage. Mostly I play around the fire, this time I was in it . . LOL Don

  • Great, the tone of your guitar and your voice mesh perfectly--I am from the south, but I am living in South America right now--makes me think of home.

  • Well Thank you so much. Don

  • Townes was a great joice he was one of my inspirrations as well. We must plant some seeds before we leave this world and go to meat the great spirit we all have a part. With music give many gifts we help to people, forget our pain, we make them smile, are cry, we bring, and we awaken emotions. Its a good thing so play on my brother.

  • Fallenfeathers thank you for your comment and for the encouragement. Don

  • Auntie Kaiwi used to tell me when I had stage fright to just remember my talent is a gift and that I should be humble and thankful for the privilege to entertain people, Not every body can. Somehow it made sense so I never worried about it again.Best wishes...

    Aloha from Hawaii,

    Thomas

  • Thanks Thomas, a good thought. We started Sunday Morning Open Mic Breakfast show at Farmt to Family and after everyone went on I did a couple of songs and felt better than in April. I really enjoy it a lot, and hearing my own voice coming back from the trees that surround that stage area really sounds good and I found myself relaxing into it a bit more. I will keep going up every open mic, and I will remember what you have said, humble, thankful, and privileged .. . Don

  • You sound a lot like Guy Clark.

  • Knock it off Don! You're like me and too hard on yourself. I enjoyed your performance and thank you for sharing the video. It helped make my evening and I wish we were neighbors 'cause I've got a nice front porch that needs some guitar pickers... especially those who pick on Townes! :-)

  • Real good. Must have felt great performing. I'm knew and badly want to learn this. What's the pattern on the high strings? Any help would be much appreciated

  • Thank you Christine. I actually enjoy watching it. It makes me want to play more. Being on stage is a good thing for the spirit, being able express in the midst of the heart pounding. I am looking forward to when I can be totally relaxed. I guess I will have to get back up on stage to become okay with it. Everybody else seems okay on stage. . . Thanks for getting the vedio and doing the syc with the board. Don
