There is a version of this song on an anthology by SP which has more production. I really prefer this reverb-drenched two instrument version from the "Contribution" album.

@wqpeb Is Shawn only human? No ... but then, none of us is merely human: we are each parts - or focuses - of God / consciousness. Shawn expresses the deeper parts of us - brilliantly - to remind us that we are far more than human. This particular Shawn Phillips song has an incredible life of its own; arranger Paul Buckmaster has written orchestration for a 95-piece orchestra ... and I am one of those patiently awaiting the actual performance of Shawn with whatever orchestra takes it on.
