How To Jailbreak iPhone 3GS on 3.0 Firmware!!

This jailbreak tool is for the iPhone 3GS running the 3.0 firmware. The tool is called Purplera1n developed by Geohot (George Hotz). This is an extremely easy process. In case the links about do not work the written instructions are below.

Instructions:
1) You should have an iPhone 3GS to start with!
2) Download or make sure you have the latest iTunes version 8.2 for Windows.
3) You have to use either Windows XP or Windows Vista for Purplera1n. Windows 7 support is coming soon.
4) If you qualify the 3 steps above, download purplera1n (an awesomely designed 394 KB tool, by far the slimmest version of Jailbreak!).
5) Connect your iPhone 3GS to your computer and double click purplera1n.exe that you just downloaded.
6) Let purplera1n do its magic (It will put your iPhone 3GS in recovery mode and will install Freeze on your iPhone.)
(If the infamous windows crash message appears, close it and launch purplera1n again. It will start from where it last crashed! The entire jailbreak took less than 2 minutes! Awesome job Geohot!)
(Turn WiFi ON on your iPhone for faster Cydia installation)
7) Launch Freeze on your iPhone and install Cydia! It couldnt be simpler! If you dont see Freeze on your iPhone reboot your iPhone.
8) You should now see Cydia on your iPhone 3GS!
9) Reboot your iPhone 3GS for full unlock glory! Wait for the signal to show up! It works great! Props to Dev Team and the famous Geo!

i have an iphone 3gs on AT&T but i live in England, so by jailbreaking it, will it get rid of AT&T?? because Apple cant do anything for me in england to remove AT&T :L

Purplera1n is easy and all but eventually cydia breaks down because purplera1n doesn't have the necessary patches. You would then have to restore etc. Just use red snow to avoid all the trouble.
