THIS is NOT a video that showcases my PLAYING! I deliberately played slow and spaced to give an accurate demo of the sound of this amplifier. it is supposed to be a quick review on my crate gfx 212 amplifier.

  • Not bad on that second gain channel. Keep working those licks! I have a chance to pull the trigger on one these for 100 bucks. Might go ahead and do it

  • @GoldtopSam for only a hundred it is a great deal, these things can take punishment and still sound great! they are perfect for practice or small to medium sized gigs. you should go for it no doubt! and thank you for the comment!

  • @GoldtopSam I still have this combo amp, I bought it when I was 15 and I am now 28. I now have a mesa boogie mark III red stripe (which i bought when i was 21) that I use solely for gig purposes. But this amp still makes me come back to it when i am practicing by my self because of its simplicity.....very versatile for the upcoming shredders in the world!

  • Man... mine is an earlier version of the 212 (which is 120 watts, or at least it was) that doesn't have smooth knobs, and yeah, the gain is excellent, but I like the clean channel with the Chorus on the DSP... but the kicker is, I paid WAY more than that back in the day for my amp... If I remember correctly, it was around $500 brand new. I'd jump at the chance to buy an amp like this for $1 per watt!!

  • Pulled the trigger on this amp, Derek. Has a good clean channel, nice 'scooped' tone with the shape knob on the drive channel. Loud as hell, but can get a good bedroom level. gonna try and record some stuff with it tomorrow, see how it sounds recorded. And try the clean channel with some pedal just to see if it like 'em. Could do alot worse for 100 bucks. It's clean with no rips or tears, and the built in tuner works ok.

  • great sound also!
