The actual length of video that can be filmed on the D7000 is 20 minutes per clip, not 10 that you stated in this video.

The 300s allows greater flexibility and control in real time than the 7000, plus numerous other features you fail to mention, but that's pretty staggering how much they have improved that price point camera.

I now have the d5100... should I upgrade to the d7000 or the d300s? I don't care about video functions. Thanks!

@techreviews407 d5100 and d7000 are similar and is probably not worth upgrading. The d300s does have a lot more speed but is bigger and more expensive. Personally I would keep the d5100 until the d7000 is replaced by a new model or the d300s is replaced

@vic108701 I wouldnt do that, d5100 can do almost everything the d7000 can.

@Loisiboisi I think the d7000 would be plenty good enough, if you can find the d300s cheaper or close to the same price i would get that instead.
