Automatic: Limited to 4,000 RPM in Neutral or Park.
Manual: Limited to 4,000 RPM under 5 mph.
The top speed governor was shown in the video.

my '99 SL2 is limited to 117 mph. its amazing how fast it can get there. i live in the rural midwest where the little green spinach (as my gf puts it) can stretch its legs almost daily.

Strangely my stock 01 SL2 was quicker than that. The auto trans in mine shifted way way faster.. And they're governed to 114, the SC2 is 124 due to the tires the two cars came with at time of purchase.
