A clip of the Uefa Cup Final in May 1972 and pictures of Cyril Knowles, one of the best left backs ever to grace the game!

Nice One Cyril!

Did you know that Cyril played 401 league games for Spurs, scoring 15 goals? Two of those goals came in the vital 4-2 victory over Leeds at the end of the 74-75 season, when we needed to beat a famous and strong side to stay in Division One. Cyril inspired the hit song "Nice One Cyril" before the 1973 League Cup Final.

On a seperate note, I remember the church opposite going up in flames and all the kids were horrified because apparently Mr Pipkin had just been buried there. I could never watch Hartley Hare after that, without a tear in my eye!....Though even back then I thought that the monkey Topov, was an arrogant cunt....Much later i realized that with a name like that, he must've been a fecking commie

  • ROFL......Memories. Got this on 7" when it first came out. I went to school at "St Pauls and all Hallows" junior school in Park Lane back in the mid seventies. On Wednesdays we used to bunk off to watch Spurs training. The ol' memories a bit foggy these days, but i do remember having to crawl around the seats to avoid Miss Foster (lovely lady) and Father Prentice (Hey!..i didn't choose to go to a church school!!) patrolling for truants.

  • Spurs....you took our Alan Gilzean then John Duncan!
