About 2:48 - that part is no joke. Bread really was made from sawdust in Germany near the end of the war, and for a few years afterward. Coffee was also in scarce supply, and forget about bacon and eggs.

Just a few first-thoughts: "Well, with Merkel and Sarkozy on the same side, the Germans put "ruling Europe" up to the next level." - "A german duck wouldn't miss just one shell. And look, now that he's woken up he just doesn't have a job." ^^
Seriously, it's hard to believe for a young german, as I am btw, that this cartoon had a reason to be made in his time. I love all of Disney's work, esp. the comics & cartoons involving Donald. But please consider that the WWII-Generation almost died out.
ironic how, today, you could, in these cartoons, replace Hitler with Corporate America and not miss a beat.
These days, what other entity gives you no vacation. demands total obedience, and makes you work harder and harder and harder for their own good.
