2002 T/A WS6 vs. Mustang Shelby GT500

First time at the track
As the title says...mods to the mustang unknown. As you can obviously tell he stalled at the line.

My car: 2002 Trans Am WS6 6-speed
4.10gears, slp LM1, shorty headers, 226/226 cam, 85mm intake and TB, filter, tuned, on street tires

It was 13.05 at 111.33 mph

@gypman921 Who ever told you was on crack, 700 to 800 horses will require extensive internal work. Basically need to forge and replace everything besides maybe the crank

The LS3 lower block is a copy of the Ford modular engine with thicker webbing. It also uses the modular and 5.0 firing order. The head design is also taken from the 427 high riser engine were the intake ports are raised vertically giving the air flow a straight shot into the cylinders also symmetrical intake and exhaust runners. This in itself show you how inferior the small block Chevy was to Ford so they had to copy Fords designs in order to create there best motor ever produced.

the ls motor in the T/A can be built to 700 to 800 horse with boltons and some internals both cars are amazing. The LS3s the block alone is rated at 900 horse capabilty throw a lingelter on and hold on. They have one here on youtube altho i have no idea what they had done to that las motor it through down 1000 plus horse. granted not everyone has that kinda bank but it shows what the LS series is capable of when done right. look it up 1000 horse Trans am. over done no doubt but its pretty sick

well the shelby can top 800rwhp with bolt-ons(new blower). give it a few mods and the driver mod and the ta cannot compete.
