I have trouble braking right before turns and staying in rutts.

I am not a pro and my level could be defined "entry". Still, often we want to get into that rut asap thinking that if we miss it we'll go too wide. The result is that we found ourself forced to turn in "no space".
Instead, we have to know that ruts are designed by back wheelsd and not by front wheels
If we try to brake wide away from that rut, we'll find out there is always time to get in it also, once we are in, it will be easier to stay in and accelerate
