i wanna buy one how is this compared to the e trac?

How about putting a couple of condoms over the pinpointer instead of the ziplock bags or silicone or even vacuum seal with foodsaver (that would probably turn it on with the excessive vacuum)

@aptons For salt water I got the Garrett Sea Hunter Mk II. The first day I tried it out at the beach I found a small gold bead weighing 2.69 grams. I ran in Standard Trash Elimination with 0 elimination. I dug lots of pull tabs but I also found gold so I don't mind. It was a 2 hour hunt. I've been into metal detecting since 1997. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Looks like Dan is wearing the same type of pouch...who makes those?
-
Beau, what type of pouch are you using that hangs on your side like that?
Thew At Gold is nothing like an E-Trac, it's almost a polar opposite, it's not as deep as the E-Trac on larger targets however it's a hell of alot faster recovery speed, lighter, better on small thin targets and pinpoints !

@aptons The AT Gold would be best suited to fresh water use.
