Love & Geography is an interactive performance based on the 1885 Norwegian play of the same name. Reborn as an abandoned roadside museum, the play's scenes and characters inhabit exhibits set in different geographical biomes brought to life through video, dioramas, animatronics, table top puppetry, and toy theater. Scene 1 features the puppet of Tygesen in a Russian Tundra diorama. Scene 2 is taken from the video exhibit featuring Karen and Birgit in the deciduous forest. Scene 3 shows a portion of "A Little Love Story," the toy theater exhibit set in the taiga, where Karen and Tygesen re-enact their romantic beginnings.
Love & Geography was performed at HERE Arts Center in October 2009 and at Vox Populi in Philly Fringe 2009. The show was adapted and directed by Tara Ahmadinejad, co-conceived and designed by Jeff Wood, and produced by Piehole.
