Renting a car was a great idea. The drive from tulum to chetumal is a bit dangerous due to the 2-laned road and no shoulder. Renting a car gives you so much freedom and gets you anywhere faster compared to a bus.

You guys got some kahoonas...Thats a decent drive from cancun. We took a van with our excursion so it wasn't as bad as a bus. They can't drive for sh!t down there though!!
