Ironically a law designed to disarm the Australian people resulted in the creation of what can only be described as the Australian Underground Army. You're nieve friend.I won't bad mouth you because you have a right to your opinion.Still, that being said you haven't lost a daughter by another's hand, a niece abducted and beated to death beyond recognition with a boat oar, you haven't been pistol whipped because someone thought you had something they wanted,nor have you ever had to take care of a brutalized victim and see the pain and embarrassment for not being able to the prevent, or fight off a thug.I will not be a victim again.

I wonder, does the greater public good include incidents such as Columbine?
Had teachers there been armed, the outcome may have been more like the shooting at the Appalachian School of Law, in Grundy Virginia.
I bet you have never heard of THAT shooting.
It ended with armed students disarming and restraining the shooter.
