Soul Rebels "Showtime": Live at Park Ave CDs

New Orleans brass band the Soul Rebels perform their song "Showtime" during an in-store show at local Orlando record store Park Ave CDs. Full Sail Recording Arts students ran sound for the event and recorded the performance.

The band has built their career around an eclectic live show that harnesses the power of horns and drums in the party-like atmosphere of a dance club. Their weekly show at Uptown New Orleans spot Le Bon Temps Rouléhas been known to descend into a sweaty shout-along as the band mixes up songs from its five studio albums with hits by Jay-z and Outkast.

In-store performances are some of Park Ave CD' most popular events, and Full Sail students have been there to run sound for bands like Frank Turner, Less Than Jake, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Little Dragon, and more. A few of the recorded shows have even become national releases, including titles from Snow Patrol, Porcupine Tree, Jose Gonzalez, and Gaslight Anthem.
