The record "Darker Days", the formal introduction to Andy Shauf, with a distinctly opposite experience. Barely past 20 years of age, Andy serves up a collection of new-folk pop songs that begin and end with sincerity and meaning, patiently unwinding a theme of memories and moving on. It is a remarkably mature display of craft by a young man writing beyond his years.

  • Love this tune. It's all played on the E-A-D strings. Here's a mini-version of the tabs... hope it's helpful : )

    Verse:

    F# 2-1-(4)

    D#m (2nd inversion) 6-6-4

    C# (2nd inversion) 4-4-3

    B/C#7 (3rd inversion) 7-8-6

    Chorus:

    F# (2nd inversion) 9-9-8

    A# (1st inversion) 10-8-8

    C#7 9-8-9

  • Dang this stage is sick.

  • Makes me think of John Frusciante and other greats artists, thank you for the fresh air :-)

  • Wow <3

    P.S Jesus Never Fails ^ - ^

  • beauty.

  • he has a capo on the first fret, but those chords sound right.. its odd :P

  • @0nlycrime The (5) is just a "ghost" note. You don't have to play it cuz it's not actually being fretted, but it comes out here and there occasionally on the open g string. 3-2-0 and 3-2-0-0 works just fine.. Just a G shape chord on the top few strings.

  • @jlafica7 Yea! Thanks so much. I have more question though...its a dumb one ha....but when you say 3-2-(5) what does (5) mean?

  • @0nlycrime He tunes down a half step. I wrote it out for standard tuning. So if you tune down you, just move all the chords up 1 fret... The first chord would be rooted on the 3rd fret, 3-2-(5), instead of 2-1-(4). I like the way it sounds when it's tuned down because you can let the b string ring out a little here and there. Hope this helps :)

  • @jlafica7 Standard tuning??

  • sorry ..but I don't speak english very well..

Can you post lyrics here please for me?

    thanks
