Clean Up, Surfs Up!

Hey Kyle,

Hope you're having fun at camp. Yesterday was one of the hottest summer days! My friends and I were cleaning up our school yard, picking up a lot of trash that was sitting around. The sun was blazing hot...Sweating and feeling thirsty, we talked about going to the beach after we were done cleaning up.

We were drinking pepsi and just then, a friendly breeze greeted us and the tarp that was stuck to the fence began to swoosh around....like a wave. That's when it hit me! Who says we can't have fun AND improve our school? We felt like going to the beach right? Well guess what, we could still surf and get stoked!

We pulled the tarp off the fence and began running with it, creating a massive wave! We had so much energy! We began throwing away more trash to make room for some epic tarp surfing. YES, tarp surfing. Our friends were driving by and they joined us too! Together, we were cleaning up, tarp surfing, getting refreshed and having fun. It was epic!

You know that poster in math class that says "A little imagination can go a long way"? This was one of those moments. We had so much fun improving our school that we all decided to start a little movement. We're calling this craze the "Clean up, Surfs up". We want to go to the schools in our area and encourage more people to improve their school, one tarp at a time! We can't wait to share this with our friends. We're even submitting our idea to Pepsi to see if they can also join us to "refresh our world." You should check it out..I know you have some great ideas.
