Scoops and I go out and check out the traction on the ice for the first time this winter (December 2, 2007) on my 2000 XR 100. We have about 5 inches of ice already, but we still didn't want to venture too far out this early in the season. Also note this is a small, shallow lake; it's not safe to go out on the main lakes yet!!!
The bike is still amazingly working great! Years of abuse, and she keeps on going.
@TheBigGrunt cold cutter, I think like 1 and 1/4 inchers. need liners!

yes we do, and we get great traction on the ice. now there's a lot of snow which has frozen to the ice, so we'll see how it goes!
