The thing about old-timer Olinemen is that in those days you couldn't use your hands, you had to ball them into fists, no hand technique whatsoever beyond punching. That was all pushing strength.

When they needed a last minute touchdown they didnt just throw the ball a mile downfield. They would use draws,short sideline passes and off tackle
runs till the defense tightned up, then hit the 20-30 yd pass and sew it up.
