Hi everyone! That is me! :) I wasn't sure if I wanted to do a 100 subscribers contest. Only problem with that is I didn't have any ideas for a contest so I'll save it for the future. Also, trying to propagate a mango cutting is a new thing for me so like I said on the video, I really don't know what I'm doing so don't follow me until these branches starts to grow root! Lol! Thanks for watching and I hope you had a few laughs with me ;).

  • Hey Jane. I love plants too. Though I don't have a patio so for now I'm growing mine indoor. I started 4 citrus plants a few months ago. I believe it was an orange tree and grapefruit tree. But they've only grown two leave to date. Healthy leaves but only two. I wonder if you know how long does it take these things to grow?

  • @TheDearlovediaries Hi! Most likely they need to be transplanted. Their current container isn't giving them the right "nutrients" it needs. Also, make sure you only have 1 plant per container, because they give off a lot of roots. I have some citrus in a small container and hasn't grown much and I have a few in one container that are growing Very Slow. Then I have 1 in a decent size container and is growing well. I hope this helps :). Good luck with growing! :)

  • Congratulations!

  • @Andalbanon Thank you!

  • Just leave a bud on the branch take off every leaf..

  • @StatenIslandSlim Thanks for the tip! :)

  • That is so cool! From what ive read, :), plant cutting should be < than 6 inches, and have 3 nodes maximum on them. You can start them in damp paper towel , and place them in a baggie, to keep the air humid around them, and place them in indirect light. If you have rooting hormone, it helps. I also read somewhere that real honey can act like a rooting hormone. Some plants root easily and you can just put them in water. How are they doing? Ground dried banana is great fertilizer.

  • Usually with these type of trees it takes very long for them to start growing healthy. Be patient. Give them time to establish a good root base and if your plant grows a few leaves that's a good sign. I've done 5 cuttings with my mango tree and only 2 of them grew. My cuttings are a 1.5 years old and still only have 12 leaves. At one point they started to flower but I was told to cut the flowers off because the tree was too small to ever support fruits and I should wait until the tree was bigge

  • your very cute lol

  • when you propagate a cutting/ branch for reproducing you DO NOT cut the leaves off because since it has no roots yet it absorbs its nutrients through the leaves.

  • @Pavlovafowl Thanks, Sue. That sounds like a very interesting film.
