Steven Moore from Ohio gets the spotlight at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN Oct.25, 2007. The broadcst was live on RFDTV. The tune is an original called "One Small Step". The banjo is his Winfield 35th. Walnut Valley Deering Black Diamond. He has the banjo muted at the bridge with a clip cord from a tuner. He was introduced only as FFA talent, Steven is 16, from Ohio and attends Union Local High School.

  • Yes. Steven is an FFA member from Ohio.

  • I played the 77th and 78th conventions in Louisville and the 79th in Indy, and I was able to play the Talent Revue all three years. Congratulations on making it to the main stage, and the harmonies are beautiful!

    I noticed that this is an original. Did you also play guitar on the backing track?

  • Thank you! Yes, I did play the guitar on the backup track. I had a copy of the CD in a CD player and headphones backstage so I could tune up before I went on stage and be in key with backup tracks.
