Mithos just hated humans for killing his sister. He didn't just change because he thought it was fun to kill humans and elves. And because people hated half-elves, which he was a half-elf, he wanted that hate to vanish, and he believed the only way to stop that was by making everyone the same race, and the only way to do THAT would be to make everyone Lifeless Beings, because there was no other way to make everyone the same. He was happy around Genis, which showed he still had kindness in him.

Most people who played only the game say they hate Mithos because he was crazy and he betrayed and killed others just to get to his goals but they don't truly know what he had gone through to be like that. Most elves & human treated them with hate and chased them out. Because of this Mithos never found a place that he could call home causing his insanity and when his sister was killed that caused him to snap. And thus, the beginnings of TOS. I feel more sorry 4 him than hate.
