Huge flock of gulls, ducks, pelicans and other Gulf coast seabirds congregated on this good fishing hole on Pelican bay between Pelican Island and the Isle Dauphin Golf course.
An easy walk from Holiday Isle condos or DeSoto Landing homes.

  • The waters along here are still gorgeous. No one knows what the future will bring but so far none of the fear mongering stories have come close to the reality of clear waters and abundant sea life and bird life.

  • The currents from Mobile Bay saved us from the worst of the tar and all the oil this summer so I have hope we will fare at least as well in 2011. Despair is getting old. Forget...NO! We will demand full clean-up and a long term quick clean-up force to be available for many years but right now and for most of the summer the beaches were amazingly beautiful.

  • Hope you can come back soon!

  • Been there, Done that :D

  • So beautiful....makes me want to be back on Dauphin Island.

  • I have a feeling those Tar balls will be devestating when the tides turn and the weather shifts back into summer
