  • man, this sure brings back a lot of memories, thanks for posting

  • @wheezdumb You guys are welcome. I was just doing my job along w/ the rest of the responders

  • @PhantomLover007 Thanks for all of your hard work. Between you guys, local law and fire dept, and FEMA, we recovered from this devastating flood pretty well.

  • Montezuma and Reynolds, too

  • I remember this vivdly. I was mobilized with my GA Nat'l Guard unit out of Columbus to respond to the whole disaster along the Flint River. I was on the Advon party in Macon that fished corpes from the river that popped out of the graveyard. Helped clean up the chicken farms in Americus where all the chickens had drowned. Helped clean up Bainbridge, Thomasville, Albany, and Valdosta too. I had never seen anything like this before in my life. I was 22 at the time.

  • It was pretty bad. I took this video myself while flying in the company plane. They had all 13 gates open at the dam and it still flooded.

  • Cool video go to Blackshear all the time never kneew it was that bad WOW

  • I think WALB has the DVD available now for like $10

  • so do my parents. they live on swift creek rd
