i'll have to second that with a passion :-)

Nice, but Milada Šubrtová is the best Rusalka. :-)

The world is a better place with beauty such as this

My first hearing of this aria was in 1959, sung by Zinka Milanov. Quite different from many, long, sweeping glissandi, powerful, full voice. I love them all for their individual voices and interpretations. I should sing so good...

"she's as good a water nymph as ever came out of a Czech lake".
I'm sorry, but that's officially one of my favorite quotes. ever.

The first time I ever heard this aria was in 1962, sung by Rita Streich. She has some vital, immediate quality, almost like she's singing a folk song. It comes right through and connects with the listener. Dvorak is ome of my favourite composers, but I find the rest of Rasalka dull and this aria comes right at the start.

@caeribormeith101 You should hear Ana Maria Martinez's version from 2009 :)

Très joli,mais pas encore çà!
Good Czech or bad Czech, beauty can't be apportioned like hotels: giver her the Five Stars.... She's as good a water nymph as ever came out of a Czech lake...

One of my favorite arias of all time, sung by one of my favorite Sorpanos :)
I think I like Renee Fleming's version better... She puts a lot more warmth into it.
Still love you, Rita!!!
