  • They both destroy the cymbals....

  • i think the best IK plug is their "Classic" compressor, and their best standalone is 2.1 version of the T-Racks mastering system. It ROCKS!! the tube saturater makes your wave forms big and bold, without taking away from the mix!!! cool plug and cool standalone....

  • the IK 670 tries to recreate that full sound the actual hardware 670 would naturally give the sound being compressed. Which is something like warm glue from what my ears can decipher, warm sound tied together with no loose ends. I have the IK 670 and you can hear the shift in the harmonics, especially on the lower end, like a pick me up, and i have never seen in person the real 670, but the IK plug, you can drive the input rather nicely...in comparison they both are pretty decent plugs.

  • @bunnywolfinc

    yes!!!!

  • No they don't null. The IK 670 inroduces harmonics and gets chunkier & more saturated the harder you drive it. I've got the UAD 670 too, but the IK one definitely sounds more like hardware. Both are pretty outstanding though to be fair.

  • do they null?
