Everywhere S3 Ep 16 part 9 of marathon

Over the next few days Rosalina was too busy with her job and the kids to even think about her problems with Nat.Even Edward forgot about Tuesday night.But when Saturaday arrived,Edward couldn't help but think about it.
It was becoming more and more obvious that Rosalina wasn't being entirely truthful with him and it hurt him more than he wanted to admit.He didn't really want Rosalina to see Nat anymore,but knew if he told her it would upset her and put a risk on their already strained marriage.But he also knew that if she continued to see Nat, it will be very likely he'll lose the only girl he ever loved.
Edward put his head in his hands and sighed.
Nathan:Daddy?
Edward:*Looked up*Hey buddy.What are you doing?*he picked up his son*
Nathan:Daddy crying.*Nathan wiped some tears out of Edwards eyes*Whats wrong daddy?
Edward:Oh its nothing.Daddy is just a little tired from working.Now, how about you go get ready for grandmas.
Nathan:Ok.*he crawled out of Edward's lap*
Edward:Hey wait.*Nathan stopped and turned around*No kiss for your daddy?*Nathan giggled and kissed Edward on the cheek and ran off*
Edward stared after him and realized that he had to get through this problem,for the sake of the kids,without losing his temper and doing something he would regret,or losing Rosalina.He knew not losing his temper wouldn't be that hard,but losing Rosalina was a different story.
That night at the party.
Edward and Rosalina,Libby and steven, were all dancing to a slow song beside eachother.Rosalina was trying to search the crowd without drawing attention to herself.It wasn't working.
Edward:I haven't seen Nat.*there was a sound to his voice,not anger,but sadness*
R:*looked up at him and saw the anguish in his eyes*I'm sorry.*she said softly, laying her head on his chest.*
Edward:No,I'm sorry.You were just looking for your friend.
Rosalina didn't say anything.At that moment she realized that Edward knew,but he wasn't angry,he was hurt.And she was the one hurting him.She fought the tears that suddenly burned her eyes.
Edward suddenly tensed up.Rosalina looked up to seewhat was wrong and she noticed Libby and Steven had also stopped dancing.At that moment some one tapped on her shoulder.She turned around,she saw Nat and Alex...And some tall blonde headed girl who had her hand casually placed on Nat's forearm.Suddenly Rosalina was mad and she hated that blonde girl.She didn't even know who she was.
R:Hey guys.
N:Hi Rosie,Libby...Edward.
Edward only nodded.
N:Edward,This is my brother Alex.
A:Hi.*he held his hand out*
Edward:Hi.*he hesitated,then shook Alex's hand.Thinking:It wasn't his fault his brother won't leave MY wife alone*
N:And this...*he indicated to the tall blonde*Is Maleia.
Everyone said hi.
N:I'm glad you guys could make it.
A:Yeah.We would have brought the guys,but they had other plans.
R:You mean they aren't here.
N:Nope.
R:I haven't even seen them yet and you've all been here for a week and a half.
N:Actually,we've been here for three.
R:*confused*Three?
A:Well,if you guys will excuse me,I've got someone I need to find.I should have done it 2 weeks ago,But I am an idiot.
Alex walked away.
N:Well,what are we all doing standing around?Would you like to dance Maleia?
Maleia:Ofcourse Nattykins.
Rosalina stifled a gag.
Nat and Maleia walked away with Rosalina glaring after them.
N:Ok,Nattykins.Don't you think that was a bit much?
Maleia just shrugged.
With Rosalina and Edward.
Edward:Hey,how about we go get something to eat.Then we can dance some more.
R:*smiles*That would be great.
They told Libby and Steven what they were doing and left.
With Alex.
He had searched the whole building and was about to give up.When he finally saw her.She was sitting there with a small group of people looking as beautiful as ever.She looked exactly like she did 2 years ago.Maybe a liitle more grown up,but still the same.
He started to walk forward,but at that moment she started to laugh and then kissed the guy sitting next to her.It wasn't just a quick friendly kiss to a friends,but a long,passionate one you would give a lover.
Though it hurt Alex deeplpy,he continued to walk forward.Finally reaching the small group.
A:Hi Rikke.
Everyone in the group was staring at him.Rikke stood up and looked at him confused.
Rikke:Alex?
He smiled.
Rikke:ALEX!*she threw her arms around him*
The guy she had kissed stood up and cleared his throat.
Rikke:Oh...Um...Alex,this is Mike.My fiance.*A.N:Or however you spell it*
A:*shook hands with Mike*Hi.*Although he tried to hide it,his voice betrayed him by showing his sadness through that one word*
Rikke looked at him again,a little sad too.
A:Well...I...I just came over to say hi.I'll just go now.Tell your mom happy birthday.
Alex walked away.
Mike:Its your mom's birthday?
Rikke:Yes Mike,thats the reason for this party.*she turned to watch Alex walk away*
