Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (radeya Allah anhoma) The Prophet said, "Beware! Avoid sitting on the roads." They (the people) said, "O Allah's messenger! We can't help sitting (on the roads) as these are (our places) here we've talks." The Prophet said "lf you refuse but to sit, then pay the road its right." They said "What is the right of the road, O Allah's messenger?" He said "Lowering your gaze, refraining from harming others, returning greeting, and enjoining what is good, and forbidding what is evil."
Sahih Al-Bukhari.

إياكم والجلوس في الطرقات." فقالوا: "يارسول الله، مالنا منها بد." فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم "فإن كنتم لابد فاعلين، فأعطوا الطريق حقه." فقالوا "وماحق الطريق يارسول الله؟" فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم "غض البصر، كف الأذى، ورد السلام، والأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر."
صحيح البخاري

Narrated Qatada: I asked Anas, "Was it a custom of the companions of the Prophet to shake hands with one another?" He said, "Yes."
Sahih Al-Bukhari.

عن قتادة أنه سأل أنس "أكانت المصافحة في أصحاب النبي؟" قال (أنس) "نعم"
