@ducksseason Oh and here is my tip for you, if you really know so much about the golf swing and can spot Rory's swing flaws just from youtube vids, you should be someone's swing coach on tour. Maybe Tiger??? He needs a lot of help right now and Sean Foley isn't getting the job done. I'm sure you can spot all of tiger's swing flaws and help turn him around. ;)

And btw Rory doesnt have many swing flaws, he tends to hook it like all good players, and he can get stuck sometimes like me, common faults by many good players

I am sick of all this ripping on Rory hes 22 for Christ sake dont expect him to be perfect its not possible, he hits greens, can be a good putter, his swing is beautiful, and he drives it way better than Tiger ever has. Hes 22 the wins will come

@f0cusen Now you're just parroting Wayne DF... Look buddy, give someone a line drawing program and they will LOOK for lines to draw. If it helps you, then fine, believe that working on your swing will make you perform better under pressure. I'm trying to tell you it's a crock to think there's something you can do with your swing to avoid choking when it's your MIND that chokes, not your body. Your mind controls your body.

@dschultz6072 There is no such thing as a perfect swing and Lee Travino was one of the best ballstrikers that has ever played this game and Furyk swing might be a little odd but he gets his hands right back to the shaftplane at impact that allows him to hit the ball great. And like I said swing errors usally come out and bite you when you are under pressure.

@f0cusen That sounds like the crap the golf teachers would like you to believe. Your swing is your swing. How good it is is how well YOU perform under pressure. Your swing doesn't break down, YOU do. Golf swing mechanics is malarkey, as is putting mechanics. Is Lee Trevino's or Furyk's swing "mechanically" perfect? Nobody in their right mind would claim Trevino doesn't know how to hit a ball. There is no such thing as automation in the golf swing. It always relies on TIMING and RHYTHM.

@golfershane What are you talking about should my knowledge about rory's swing has changed? Why, he has not changed his swing and he I think he is not considiring that either. But I do admit his swing looked a bit diffrent at the us open, his rightarm was more infront of him and he moved his hands more towards the ball at the start of the dowswing which enabled him to get his hands more infront of his body and not so much stuck behind him.

@f0cusen That's all you can come up with after 4 months? You clearly have no clue about the golf swing, as you type the same comments on EVERY Rory McIlroy swing video. You regurgitate info from another guy on YouTube who overanalyzes the swing, and is out of touch with the game. Play the game for at least 20 years, then get back to me.

get a haircut!!!
Tiger WAS good? LOL. Great swing. LOL. Firstly, Rory is great at hitting a draw (and a hook) but he has real trouble hitting a fade on call and even greater trouble hitting the one shot you really need to win majors (and the US Open at Congressional played like an EASY Tour event with wider than usual fairways, soft fairways and absurdly soft greens - the lack of wind was just icing - we cannot give Rory typical major credit, sorry - would say the same for anyone who won based on the scoring)

@Aaronva83 Some really interesting views there on Rory my friend. Couple of thoughts for you - 1) He ranks in the top 10 in the GIR stats in Europe this year which suggests he's managing that hook with the irons pretty well. 2) If Congressional was set up like a regular tour event how come none of the other top 50 players in the world managed to get double digits under par? That's not a regular course set-up in my book.
I think its Rory's putting which is holding him back not his swing
