  • One doesn't have to play pyrotechnics nor scream like a trumpet to play great jazz. That's just nothing more than flash. Bill is playing some nice harmonic stuff. Listen to his final chord. There are many ways to play jazz, and this is one of them. Not every trombone player can play jazz euphonium as well as Bill. I wish the arrangement weren't so busy behind him, then it would be easier to hear him solo.

  • wow

  • There should be more people playing Jazz Euphonium. Imagine e.g. "Laura" on it.

  • And you commented on it. What a win for you.

  • Boring........

  • kinda lame...he performed at our Jazz festival here last night...too bad i missed it...i'm not sure how good his Euphonium skills were live but this recording doesn't seem too impressive when you've heard stuff from greats like Tom Ball and Rich Matteson...thats some awesome stuff...but i'm sure its much better live.

  • this is pretty unreal

  • great stuff.
