This is the first poem to be released from my live slam poetry extravaganza at the Gift Theatre in Chicago on 12.09.06, called "papergirl : live." One of the biggest projects I have ever undertaken, the night was a resounding success. I performed 15 or so of my best slam poems along with some special guests, a live band, and 72 of my fans/friends. As the HD footage is edited, I will be posting each piece right here!
