i don't agree with that but I believe that is the mindset that some blacks have, esp black males (look at groups like the Nation of Islam or other black "extreme groups"), they are for the most part pretty homophobic or unacepting of homosexuality and I believe that this is where such a mindset may stem from.

being gay is wrong. it's a disease for that matter. What sickens me about this guy is that he has no authority, except that he's a gay, he's black, and yeah...he's a homo. I don't care about his ivy league education. It's a sin to be gay, regardless if it's natural or unnatural. And on another note....if everyone thinks that one day homosexuality will be accepted, i challenge you to find one society in history that accepted homosexuality and equated homosexuality to heterosexuality. You won't.

I agree for the most part with what he's saying. Homophobia definitely exists in both communities, none more prominent than the other. However, I do feel that in the black community it may be looked down on more and "closeted" more because of the mindsets we developed from slavery. Then we were less than a man because we were black. Now we are starting to be looked at as "equal" (I use thar word very loosely) and we announce we're homosexual which reverses what we fought for.
