Without Jesus, NONE OF US are anything. Anything WE have is because of Jesus. Wouldn't you agree?
You speculate about Jesus' attachment to His mother. In that consideration, does it not matter what Jesus actually says on the matter and the example He shows?
Jesus never disrepected or degraded His mother; neither did he exalt her or instruct that others do so.
You claim Mark 3:32-35 has been dishonestly interpreted. How so?

The first thing required of a Bible reader is honesty and sincerity. You talk about worshipping Mary and idolatoy. Catholics see Mary as a creature just like themselves so when they say they do not worship Mary why are you so keen to call them liars. They know wo they worship an who they do not. Without Jesus Mary is nothing. Anything she has is because of Jeus. I am sory you would rather misread the Bible and claim that Jesus felt no more for is mother than anyone else To me this is inhuman.

Search the Bible for "queen of heaven" and see what God feels about this entity and those who worship it. Jesus always pointed worship to His Father only, even to the expense of His own self.
He stated that the amount of concern/love/respect shown to Mary was no greater than what is due to any other Christian (Mark 3:32-35). To esteem Mary above any other of the brethren is idolatry.

No wonder there are 30,000 christian denominations when we listen to you. A family consists of a Father, a Mother, and children. So we have God the Father, and God the son and the mother who gave birth to the God man. Queen of Heaven is an honorary title because Jesus is the King of Kings He is the son who honours his father and mother. Because He is truly human he is as close to her as others are to their mother.The Father is head of the family, in fact in the domestic Church akin to a priest.
