Michigan is historically much better in football, but MSU has been better for a few years, so MSU fans are talking about how MSU is better now, while Michigan fans are talking about all-time records. It's the same in basketball. MSU has been better historically (I think Michigan still leads the all-time series), but Michigan has won a few in a row, and we want to talk trash, but MSU fans just point to MSU's dominance over the last 15 or so years. It's just how things work

first off, one player gone rogue doesn't represent the entirety of the university.

second off, this has been looked over multiple times, i'm not justifying gholston's punch, but taylor lewan ALONE had 36 uncalled facemasks that game, including the play that antagonized the punch.

msu wasn't the only team to play "dirty" that game.

I think there are some hurt feelings on this. it was a good game, who the hell cares? life goes on... and if ur talking about MSU's "great defence", why not talk about how they had to suspend multiple players for punching and otherwise unsportsmanlike conduct. i know no team is perfect, but really? only divisions thats got dirtier teams than MSU is the SEC.
