My high-side at Lydden Hill during a trackday in June 2005. It happened during the 3rd session so I had already been round the track a good ~35 times already. I only had the bike 3 months and had that moment of dread as I was flying through the air.

  • Hi Stu. I strained my groin which still gives me grief sometimes but otherwise I was fine! All thanks to a decent skid-lid and a luckless cow. Apart from the fairings there was suprisingly little damage to the bike due to the crash bung. I needed a new gear shift lever, clutch lever and indicator. I had road tyres on, Michelin's, but I can't remember which type. I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong! ET.

  • First track day at lydden this weekend. Thanks to this video I'm going to take it easy on that bit.

  • i can tell you what you did wrong.. theres two dark patches of tarmac just before you hit the top of the rise if you on the throttle and went over them i would think rear spun up and come round.

  • Where you injured?as looks pretty nasty. How bad was the bike damaged? My brother has the 600gsxR and when to Brans Hatch for a track day yesterday.Hopefully he did not do what you did. Were you on road tyres or racing slicks. Also check out my vids as I went to watch track day at lydden on Saturday.
